Community Engagement and Contribution
If you're interested in contributing to Skylar, here are some ways you can get involved:
Skylar is not just a tool for building AI agents, but also a thriving community-driven platform where users, developers, and AI enthusiasts can connect, collaborate, and contribute to its growth. Whether you're an AI builder, a user looking to deploy an agent, or someone who wants to improve the platform, there are plenty of ways to get involved and help make Skylar even better.
1. Community Features
Community-Led Development: Skylar's open-source nature allows developers from around the world to contribute code, ideas, and feedback. If you have an idea for a feature, improvement, or bug fix, you can open an issue or submit a pull request (PR) to help improve the platform.
User Support and Discussions: The community is a great place to ask for help, share knowledge, and solve problems. Join our discussions on GitHub Issues, community forums, or dedicated channels where users and developers can exchange tips, solutions, and ideas.
Custom AI Agent Sharing: Once you've created an AI agent, you can share it with the community, allowing other users to deploy and use your creations. Sharing agents helps build a library of pre-made agents that others can adapt and use for various tasks.
2. How to Contribute
Reporting Bugs: If you find a bug or issue, please open an issue on GitHub. Provide as much detail as possible, including steps to reproduce the bug, error messages, and any other relevant information.
Submitting Features or Enhancements: Have an idea for a new feature or improvement? Submit a feature request through a GitHub issue or even better, fork the repository and implement the change yourself through a pull request. Contributions are always welcome!
Code Contributions: Skylar is an open-source project, and we welcome contributions to the codebase. To get started, fork the repository, work on your changes, and create a pull request. Make sure to follow the project's coding standards and include tests where possible.
Improving Documentation: Good documentation is key to a successful project. You can contribute to improving Skylar’s documentation, adding clearer explanations, better examples, or more detailed guides.
Design and UI Improvements: If you're skilled in design or UI/UX, you can contribute by improving the interface or making Skylar more user-friendly. Whether it's creating wireframes, mockups, or improving the front-end code, your input will be highly valued.
3. Community Guidelines
To ensure a positive and productive environment, we ask all community members to follow our community guidelines:
Respect: Treat all members with kindness, respect, and understanding. This is a space for learning and collaboration, where all opinions and backgrounds are valued.
Constructive Feedback: When providing feedback, be specific, respectful, and constructive. Whether it’s an issue with a bug or a suggestion for a new feature, constructive criticism helps improve the platform.
Stay Inclusive: Skylar is a global platform that welcomes people from all over the world. Let's celebrate diversity and work together to build a more inclusive environment where everyone can contribute.
Follow Code of Conduct: The community adheres to a Code of Conduct that ensures we maintain a welcoming and safe space for all. Please take a moment to review it and follow its guidelines when interacting with others.
